Horsham Swim School Developing Duckling Awards

The Swim England/ ASA Discovery Duckling Awards form a framework around which our Baby/ Toddler/Pre School Swimming lessons are based,   they are the start of the learn to swim experience for all children. These awards are perfect for Pre-School children who are new to swimming lessons. They are ideal for gaining water confidence whilst staying close to adult support.  Pre School Children love to learn to swim with the Horsham Swim School at our pool in Morriswood North Horsham.

In 2020 Horsham  Swim School won “Best Parent and Child swim school”

Swim School of the year SussexUnlike some of our competitors our swimming teachers remain in the water with your child up until approximately Learn to Swim stage 3. All beginner lessons our teacher is 100% in the water with your child and this continues for at least three terms or until Swim England/ASA stage 2/3 is achieved.

Morrriswood pool is 33 to 34 degrees which is much warmer than school and leisure centre pools. Morriswood is a Luxury private pool and as such is also cleaner and more hygienic.

What do Baby/ Toddler / Pre school Swim lessons involve?

Horsham Swim School run small classes with a maximum of 8 Children,   – this keeps our classes sociable, but also allows us to give you individual attention.  You and your child will be in the water with our instructor, who makes the lesson all about having fun.  Although enjoyment is at the heart of what we do, your instructor will be following a highly evolved developmental Swim England training plan,to ensure each child is individually progressing over the 12-14 week course.  We gently build child’s confidence in the water with fun exercises and eventually your little one will learn to be comfortable on and under the water.  Seeing your child laughing and splashing in the water really is an incredibly rewarding experience. Children will be regularly awarded swimming badges and certificates from our “Developing  Duckling” and the Swim England  “I can” award scheme.
